10U Kings complete perfect season
The 10U Tomball Kings finished their 2026 spring campaign with a 14-0 record and championship in the Spring Klein Baseball League.
Spring TX – The Spring 2026 10U Tomball Kings achieved the rare feat of a perfect record in spring baseball at the Spring Klein Baseball League, while winning the league championship at Rothwood Park on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
In so doing they became the first Kings team to finish a perfect season in league play.
The Kings came from behind to defeat the second-seeded Beast team by a score of 7-6.
The Kings went 12-0 in the regular season and advanced straight to the semi-finals of the Gold (highest) bracket by virtue of a first-round by as the top seed. They topped the Cubs 9-6 to advance to the finals, and then finished 14-0 on the season with their championship win over a hard-playing Beast squad.
Over the course of the season sixteen players had a hand in the perfect record:
- Elijah Barrera
- Caison Bimber
- Ethan Delgado
- Joshua Gil Jr.
- Case Hamilton
- Hunter Hause
- Shepherd Kitchens
- Daniel Lara
- Elijah Lara
- Jace McGeath
- Valor McPheron
- Taj Miller
- Will Matthew Odom
- Henry Schrank
- Jude Steeves
- Dominic Zarro
A major factor in the team's success was the willingness of so many dads to help coaches Daniel Lara, Diego Barrera, and Aaron Schrank at practices and games. These included Ronnie McGeath, Salomon Lara, Justin Kitchens, Jason Steeves, and Matt Odom.
The coaching staff did an excellent job encouraging resilience and helping the players overcome adversity. Four of the team's victories were by a single run and required the team to come from behind to win.
The coaching staff now moves on to coach Spring Klein's lead entry in all-star tournaments, where they will be joined by several Kings players still to be named after all-stars tryouts on Monday, May 18, 2026.
